For the PULI-006 worshop on autumn 2019 the MOTHERWOOD workshop was elected as the central topic. To continue the fostering of the DO Workshop philosophy of the Future House Lab initiative this workshop was aimed to design and manufacture of a piece of furniture in only one week.

The full workshop was aligned to the GALA project between Universidad Panamericana and Tableros y Maderas de Mayoreo, S.A. to develop furniture for an auction as benefit for Casa Hogar Villa de la Asución, an orphan children house.

During the workshops, Japanese and Mexican students made a field research to get acquainted with the Mexican reality, then they brainstormed to propose ideas, they had a revision on behalf of TMM where the original concept was rejected. A new brainstorm had to be held where new and fresh ideas arose. Finally a new concept was born: a bookshelf with options for positions.

The final product was built in two days and a final presentation and demo of possibilities took place on the afternoon of November 1.
